Our Story
-
Eco Eclectic was founded in 2020 by Sara Fagen with a clear purpose: to make sustainable living more accessible, affordable, and community-driven. What began as a grassroots effort to reduce waste in Jacksonville has grown into a local hub for intentional living, conscious consumption, and small business support.
At the heart of our mission is a desire to empower individuals to make sustainable choices in everyday life. We offer a curated selection of zero-waste swaps, bulk refills, and eco-friendly essentials — all designed to make the better choice the easier one. Beyond our shelves, we’re proud to serve as a platform for local makers, artists, and eco-minded entrepreneurs to share their work and grow their impact. -
Our next chapter is joined by Kassidy Kinkel as a partner in expanding our vision. Together, we’re introducing Eco Eclectic Microshops — satellite locations in partnership with like-minded local businesses that bring our favorite sustainability staples closer to where you live, work, and play. These curated hubs make it even easier to discover, purchase, and pick up your low-waste essentials while supporting community collaboration.
Whether you’re just beginning your sustainability journey or deepening an existing commitment, Eco Eclectic is here to support you. We're more than a shop — we're a community, a resource, and your partner in building a more mindful future.

Our Eco Commitment
Sustainability is more than a value—it's the foundation of everything we do. From plastic-free packaging and upcycled finds to partnerships with local artisans and ethical brands, every choice we make aims to leave the planet better than we found it. We believe progress happens in the everyday decisions, and we’re committed to making it easy (and beautiful) to choose better.

Sara Fagen
Sara founded Eco Eclectic in 2020 after moving to Neptune Beach, determined to cut coastal waste and give her community easy, eco-friendly resources. Working alongside Beaches Go Green, she promotes mindful living even as she pursues her other passion—neuroscience. For the past six years, Sara has conducted Parkinson’s-disease drug-discovery research at the Mayo Clinic. After welcoming her son, Oliver, in 2024, she now divides her time between family, staying active, and expanding Eco Eclectic’s impact.

Kassidy Kinkel
From a young age, Kassidy’s deep connection to the ocean shapes the way she lives, plays, and approaches sustainability. She believes that conscious consumer choices and ethical business practices are powerful tools for change, and she’s dedicated to helping others discover how small actions can lead to a healthier planet. When she’s not working, Kassidy is happiest outdoors and especially when she’s out on her surfboard. She shares this love for the water with her partner, Kyle, and their two adventurous dogs, Finnegan and Coconut, who are always up for a beach walk or a road trip.
